About Brother Bill's Helping Hand Clinic
Brother Bill’s Helping Hand Clinic is a community-based, student-run free clinic in West Dallas that provides accessible medical care for uninsured and underinsured adults. The clinic operates on select Wednesday evenings and focuses on offering compassionate, low-cost healthcare in a supportive, welcoming environment. Patients can schedule appointments by phone and are encouraged to bring basic identification and medication information for their visit.
Services Provided

The clinic offers general primary care services, including routine checkups, evaluations for common illnesses, management of chronic conditions, basic lab work, health education, and referrals when needed. They also provide support programs such as nutrition guidance, wellness resources, and a sliding-scale payment option that helps make care affordable for individuals with limited income. For both medical and food services, calling ahead is strongly recommended to confirm availability and appointments.

Food Pantry
Wednesday & Thursday: 9:30am-11:30am
4th Thursday of Month: 5:00pm-6:30pm

Produce Days: (1st & 3rd Fridays): 9:00am-10:30am(walk-ins welcome)
Guideline:
-Appointments are required for groceries. (Register as a new family online or call 214-638-2196 to reschedule if you’re already registered)
-Generally allows one visit per family per month
-A valid form of ID (driver’s license, work ID, etc.)
-Check the pantry’s distribution schedule before visiting (days and times vary).
-Prepare to provide the number of people in your household for proper food allocation.
-Bring reusable bags if possible.
Medical
Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays: 8:00am-5:00pm Tuesdays & Fridays: 8:00am-1:00pm
Guideline:
-Call 214-638-2194 to schedule a medical appointment
-A list of your current medications
-A valid form of ID (driver’s license, work ID, etc.)
-Any relevant medical records, if available
-Calling ahead is strongly recommended to confirm availability and appointments.
Payments:
-Visits start at $50.
-Can apply to the Sliding Scale Program to help reduce pay.

Counseling
Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-3:00pm
Fridays: 8:00am-12:00pm
Guideline:
-Counseling is offered for adults and children.
-Call the main office (214-638-2196) to inquire about mental health appointments and intake.
Classes
ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes:
(Tuesdays & Thursdays:10:00am-12:00pm)
-The current session (Fall 2025) runs from August 19 to December 11.
-Register and take a placement test during registration dates.
-There is a $40 registration fee (for class books).
Parenting Support / Parenting Classes:
(Mondays: 9:30am-10:30am & 11:00am-12:00pm)
(Tuesdays: 4:00pm-5:00pm)
(Case management (parenting) office hours: Wednesdays: 9:00am-11:30am)
-Weekly classes are offered for expectant parents and parents of children aged 0-5.
-Free diapers are available through the program.
-Parents must register and pick a class day; they attend the same day every week.
Evening Computer Classes:
(Selected Wednesdays: 6:00pm-8:00pm)
-Registration is required to attend.
-Classes teach practical technology skills in English and Spanish.
Job Training – PathWays Program:
(Not all specific class hours are listed publicly; contact BBHH for the next session)
-8-week / 120-hour program for women to build employment skills (computer, resume, interviewing, etc.)
-This is a structured commitment — participants should be ready to complete full program.
Interactive Cooking / Nutrition Class:
(Second Tuesday of each month (Feb–Nov): 6:30pm-7:30pm)
-Class size is limited — register early to reserve your spot.
-Call to register.
